i tried this and agree that it is good but not as spicy as canned ginger beers, it is the spiceyness i like and was wondering if anyone has tried using fresh 'ginger paste' instead of dried, ground ginger??? i might try it anyway, i got nothing to lose i suppose

Yeah, I saw a thread on WAN about it. Typically for WAN it descends into recrimination and bitching half-way down. "Funding crisis" doesn't really cover it: £25 000 is a bit of a financial shortfall! With a bit of luck they'll get the ban on advertising lifted, which should ease their problems somewhat.

And they've now updated point 11:

11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights that you already hold in Content that you submit, post or display on or through the Services.

So I guess they decided that there was a problem! At least they fixed it swiftly.

I've been looking at it, and it's not quite as "bad" as it is made out to be: "sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the services" Pretty much, anything that they feel like, they can take and show as a "look at how awesome our product is", it's intent is so that they can't be sued for any screenshots of Chrome in action, but I think their choice of wording is too broad.

Be careful to not miss: 9.4 Other than the limited license set forth in Section 11, Google acknowledges and agrees that it obtains no right, title or interest from you (or your licensors) under these Terms in or to any Content that you submit, post, transmit or display on, or through, the Services, including any intellectual property rights which subsist in that Content (whether those rights happen to be registered or not, and wherever in the world those rights may exist). Unless you have agreed otherwise in writing with Google, you agree that you are responsible for protecting and enforcing those rights and that Google has no obligation to do so on your behalf.

Damn it! *fixes*

Still, a good gig, particularly in light of the less than punishing rehearsal schedule we've kept up recently.

I see you're as good at spelling the band's name as many of our reviewers...

[wonders if I should have used an escape character before the second slash in the above]

Most apposite! I can't believe the Zappa is a recognised beard type. I think the best I can hope for from his list is the Federation, as I sport facial hair wispier than a light mist on a summer's morn.
On a different note, I thought the Hollywoodian was something else entirely.
